Our board member, Dr. Jacky Chan, along with our Programme Manager and Social Work Officer, Dr. Alex Chan, participated in the Asia-Pacific AIDS & Co-Infections Conference (APACC) 2024 from 27-29 June in Hong Kong. Organised by Academic Medical Education (AME), Virology Education (VE), APACC aimed to provide a much-needed scientific platform that focuses on the developments, issues, and needs in the Asia-Pacific region related to research on HIV and co-infections.

We were thrilled to showcase the abstract titled “Insights and Strategies: The Evolving Landscape of HIV/AIDS Cases Pre and Post the COVID-19 Pandemic in Hong Kong” presented by Dr. Alex Chan. We also shared our experience with the regional experts to eliminate HIV-related stigma and achieve the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
