According to the results of the “HIV Prevalence and Risk Behavioural Survey of Men who have sex with men in Hong Kong 2017 (PRiSM)” released by The Centre for Health Protection of Department of Health, the overall HIV prevalence for sexually active men who have sex with men (MSM) was estimated to be 6.54%. To strengthen publicity and public education work on the prevention of HIV/AIDS among MSM, the Foundation has produced a new poster to encourage them to take HIV test as early as possible and annually as part of a regular medical check-up.
Since the HIV antibody rapid test involves finger prick for blood taking, it is also known as “finger-prick test”.
